What's the difference between kitchen paint and bathroom paint?

Does anyone know? When I were a lad (dinosaurs roamed), you could get gloss paint or emulsion, that was it. Then came along kitchen and bathroom paint, which made some sense. Now some manufacturers - Dulux at least - have separate ranges of kitchen paint and bathroom paint. Why?

Incidentally I once asked this of a young salesperson in B&Q and got the wonderful reply: "Well one's for kitchens and the other's for bathrooms". Yes...

I suppose kitchen air tends be greasier and bathroom air more humid, but that's it.

Yes, kitchen paint is for kitchens. Bathroom paint is for bathrooms.

Sorry, just joking.

Bathroom paint is supposed to be good for areas that receive a lot of moisture. More so that kitchens.
