32 mm (MDPE is available up to 63mm as standard off-the-shelf) is a standard size but you will be limited by the pressure and flow rate available to you from your supply company
How will they know what you connect, it not like you have to inform them. Esp so because we have the new mains stop cock (supplier side) in the pavement.
Assuming the connection is 25mm, then surely sticking any pipe my side of the boundary over 25mm will have no benefit right, because there will always be that bottleneck at the connection?
someone will know how to calculate the flow reduction, but I put a plastic pipe on an old 1/2" stopcock and stub, probably about 600mm of 1/2" lead between the meter and my new pipe, and the flow increased dramatically, despite the short constriction.
