But why should he?

It's been like it is for months. The customer called him in knowing what the history is and what needs done to put it right, and now is just trying to get a freebie because he's bought a 16th edition board not a 17th.

rather immature. As SecureSpark has said perviously, he feels a duty of care to provide at least something. I'll dig out the post if you like, rather than this rather crass "its not my problem" attitude. Hats off to SS

I'm with RF. We're no charity case, you can't spare valuble time just because you feel sorry for someone.

Advise them of the correct thing to do, and walk away. You can't do anymore.
