What's this render please?

Hi,

A couple of small patches of render are 'live' and have come away from the face of this lovely 500 year old building.

There's only a couple of small areas so I'm considering doing the patching up myself.

Can anyone advise the correct materials to use, and ratio please.

Thank you very much in advance.

OP,
A pic showing a larger context of the patch (or patches) would help?
Are there two similar damaged patches just below the eaves?
Whats going to happen to the various cracked areas in pic 2?
The damage that can be seen suggests that the whole of the render on that elevation is shaky - the timber framing in pic 1 appears to be water damaged, the laths are split & loose.
Why not probe the wall plates to look for wet rot?

Thanks for your reply.
The rest of the render seems to be sound. I was going to patch repair the 2 damaged areas and use some of the mix to fill the cracks (after raking them out).
The 2 large holes just below the dormer window are in the timber fascia.
Great advise about wet rot, I'll take a closer look.

OP,
When you are ready:
For patching your render - take up suction from the woodwork - mix sand and NH lime at 3:1 the first coat and 4:1 the second coat
