Hi folks...

I had a conservatory fitted in around 2005 which had a radiator fitted connected to the main house central heating. At the time I believe this was okay to do without consent.

I've read recently that regs changed a couple of years ago stating that conservatories with central heating are subject to building regs.

I don't know much about building regs - do I need to get consent if I wish to sell my property even though the radiator was fitted before building regs changed?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

Paul.

Either way, you have always been able to connect a radiator to the house CH system as long as it had a shut off valve ... which they all do
