Whilst I agree that water should not be privatised and whilst the stuff may come out of the sky, free, the water company has to maintain the reservoirs (and their catchment areas), the bote holes, the river sbstraction points, the water treatment works (because the water you drink has to be potable, by Law, and is monitored regularly), the distribution pipework, the pumps, the sewage pipes, the underground sewers and the sewage farms. This all costs money. So water from the tap never has been and never will be free. So dream on!
