Where can I get a large metal spacer to raise gate hinge

Hi

I have just had the drive relaid and it has resulted in the garden gates catching on the drive. The hinge part of the gate is welded to the metal posts so moving the hinge up is not an option. I can lift the gates off the hinge and add a spacer to raise them about 20 mm.

The question is... where do I get metal spacers that have a hole in the middle that is about 20mm diameter and the total diameter to the outside is about 35 - 40 mm?

Or a tube of some sort cut to the correct length slipped over

I use stainless washers. By lightly oiling them before fitting, I get a very smooth, silent and easy action on the hinge. Better than new. And paint doesn't wear off the hinge parts.

If you only need a dozen or so, fleabay is cheaper. "C-form" washers are wider.
