We are missing a fuse to our hydraulic parking system and no-one knows where to get a replacement as it is from the 1970s. We want to replace it so we can see if the system still works. Any suggestions on where we could look- we have been looking for 6 months now!

As far as I understand the fuse itself ( as pictured ) is missing. There should be three and there are only 2, the one in the photo was removed so that we could take images from it to find a replacement.

Thanks a million that is very helpful. I will check if I need both parts first before buying. If I get a new one can I rewire it myself, do you know what kind of wire it takes, or should I get an electrican to help.

Go to any W/F in london and they will sell the newer plastic MEM/EATON HRC version with a HRC fuse, you could change all 3 and these fit straight into the old bases usually

They are not new but used, 30amp fuse wire will do, if you don't take rocky's advise.

just a quick question.. who removed it and why?
is it safe for you to be putting one back in?
for all you know the wire may be damaged and in contact with something it shouldn't be, so re-fitting the fuse might electrocute someone..

it's not cut and dried and generally if the fuse carriere is missing, it means that someone who knows what they are doing has a very good reason to take it out and walk away with it / put it in the hands of someone responsible for the installation.

and what on earth is a hydraulic parking system? you got a lift down to a secret hidden parking basement or something?
