Hi, i have a 1930's house. Started getting a white residue line going across my property wall. I was told that my driveway being butted up against the wall is the reason. So i got a drainage specialist for a quote for aco drain installation. He said you have dpc its the two blue bricks above your driveway so that is not the reason why the wall is damp.

Is that correct?

I had a telephone wire going into property through a metal conduit. The wall inside property was getting wet (where the telephone wire was) so had a builder to come and repoint and replace brick. When removing brick we noticed the metal conduit, it was wet through. Since repointing no damp inside. But instead a white residue line on the outside
