Where is my EGR valve in my engine? Pics included!

Could somebody point out my EGR valve to me please?

I opened this up and it was full of diesel, is this the fuel filter? What signs show that it may need changing?

Try Google "EGR valve" a few posts on it.

You would be better off buying a haynes manual,its probably situated somewhere on the inlet manifold and hard to see on photos
That is the fuel filter,you wont really see any signs it needs changing but for peace of mind do it.

Haynes don't do Vauxhall Combos I've already looked for one of those

Gonna have a route around tomorrow and look I think it may be on the right side of the engine block somewhere.

Using the awesome image processing power of my laptop I have added some helpful arrows to the below pic, the red arrows show the location of the EGR under that control unit, the blue arrow points to a small metal pipe, If you are still unsure follow this metal pipe round the back of the engine as it goes to the EGR.
