Where is my gas pipe going inside the wall?

Hi all

I need to install two L brackets to support the worktop at the corner where the washing machine goes and I want double check before drilling.

I have not been able to find anything about gas pipes zones on a quick Google search.

Is it safe to drill where I have marked the brackets? Because of the awful wall, I am using 100mm dab and dot fixings.

Appreciate your help.

Your photo gives us no clues where your gas pipes might be, only where you want to drill. The best way is to find the surface pipes, and make a judgement of where they might run. A metal detector, might be of use, in tracing their route, where hidden.

So there are no "zones" regarding gas pipes?

I will give it a go with the metal detector.

Metal detector confirmed that it goes vertical all down.

Brackets are in now.
