where to fit boiler spur

Hi,
I'm going to have a new boiler fitted in a newly created boiler room. I haven't even been quoted yet by the gas fitter but I need to get on with the plastering. Where is the best place to fit the fused spur for the boiler in relation to the floor. The room is 750mm wide by 2400mm. The boiler should be wall mounted depending on what the gas fitter recommends.

2'-6" x 8' that's not a room, it's a corridor.

I'd guess the fitter will need to fit the boiler on the short wall as he'll need lots of front access for maintenance. So spur/isolation point should be at say 1.2m up from floor and say 1metre in front of the back wall

And then when the boiler needs servicing, there'll be 7ft of junk piled in front of it

Can't fathom why that size/shape of room was considered useful. Though we are assuming the door is in one of the ends walls (actually, is one end wall). If the door were in the middle of one long wall then it would be a much more useful space.

You've not met my missus. She'd never allow 7ft of junk The room/cupboard is that size to accommodate meters consumer unit and boiler. Its a small corner space that would otherwise be wasted so quite useful in allowing us to hide the unsightly stuff.
