We are (well, wife really) wanting to replace the original flat ply internal doors with new doors, so have been looking online.

B&Q have a good selection, but if i recall, not many trades folk actually buy their doors at B&Q .. that's more for the DIY gang.

Where is the best place to buy doors ?

Is Travis Perkins a trade-only shop ?

As the skirting and frames are all white, it would seem sensible just to go for plain doors and paint them.

Are pine doors any good, or is pine too cheap a product for anything decent ?

Current doors are mostly 758mm, so I assume a 762mm door can be trimmed slightly. Those 'ultra cheap' white panel doors I think have so litle wood at each edge, any trimming is almost impossible.

You could always try Magnet or Howdens - both national, both supply doors. There are loads of other firms out there, though.

4mm trimming is normally within tolerance, so that shouldn't be an issue
