Does anyone know if there's a boiler overheat cutout switch on a SD30e ? If so where will l find it to reset it ?
As my boiler trys to fire up but won't, lock out keeps coming on when theres a demand on both dhc and ch.

Many thanks in advance.
Bob.

If the boiler is trying to fire up then it has NOT OVERHEATED!!! look for the fault elsewhere or preferably get a qualified gas engineer in!! ;)

Hi Boilerman2,
The overheated suggestion was made by a plumber over the phone this morning so just going on his suggestion.
Been trying to get a plumber out today, but for obvious reasons no one available,( Christmas bank hols.)
Any other suggestions why the boiler goes through start up sequence ie fan working etc, but no ignition then after about 6 seconds lock out comes on ??
Many thanks.

Not over familiar with this boiler, but, as the overheat stat is wired back to the PCB I would think the reset for it is the reset button on the fascia.

Thanks twgas, l keep resetting the switch on the fascia for the lockout, but every time it resets and l put a demand on it for hot water etc, the boiler starts up but no ignition.
Wondering if there was another 'secret' reset button anywhere ?

Cheers.

check the flue outside to see if it is blocked by snow or ice, if not then you need a gas guy to go inside the boiler and fix it for you, prob fairly straight forward what the problem is but we dont like to give out actual gas repair advice on here

Just want to say thanks for the replys guys.
Got the boiler fixed yesterday morning.( Weds ),. Managed to get a local engineer who turned up prompt at 08:30. Problem was the pump, which he changed. He also cured the water leak on the plate to plate exchanger, and fitted a new diaphram in dhw flow switch.
Don't have to wait 5mins for hot water to come through now.
£205 all together, not bad l suppose ?

Cheers again,
Bob,.
