Which adaptor do i need?

My basin thread is about 40mm and the female on the Mcalpine u bend about 45mm

I bought that 11/2 Euro waste adaptor thinking that would work but it's too big for the brass thread. What fitting do i need to adapt this to my Mcalpine u bend thanks!

The trap size for a basin is 1¹/⁴ inch ( 32mm) ,not 40 mm.

Why do you need an adapter, is the trap short?

As above it wont fit try the right trap size (basin size).

All standard UK basin wastes take a 32mm trap, no exceptions. Where did you get your waste from? That waste is certainly a click clack basin waste.

Is it you're trying to fit a sink trap (40mm) to a basin waste rather than a 32mm basin trap?
