Which block?

I want to block up an existing doorway in a load bearing wall. Would I be ok to use thermalite blocks as I have enough of these available without buying something different.

What, generally, are the rules on when you would use a concrete block as opposed to a thermalite block?

Whole houses are built in thermailte.

In a domestic situation, you would use concrete if you want to save money. Thats all
