I know most plumbers hate them, but they do earn you a good living!

Anyway i need a new one installed as i the one i have is past its sell buy date,19 years old and want to get one fitted before the new regs come into effect.
What in your honest expert opinion is a decent make i have been thinking of a worcester bosh to be fitted in a 2 bed flat with 5 rads but would like your opinions please.

Also does anyone know of a good corgi plumber in the high wycombe area to fit it.
Many Thanks

Andy

I'm fitting my first storage combi next week. Unvented internal 60L cylinder pre heated to 50 degrees, re-heat time of less than 8 minutes, flow rate of 4.7 gallons a minute (for a couple of minutes anyway). Baxi and Ariston do them. I'll be interested to see how good this thing is as to my mind it's a mini megaflo system for a fraction of the cost.

Email me if you want a quote for this or any other combi :)

Worcester 28Cdi with RF digistat, just fitted my last one with vertical flue before new nazi rules take effect, fitted one as part of new CH system and now done one as a boiler replacement for the customers son using the open vent kit so as not to pressurise the old rads and valves, fitted loads of these over the years with very few problems if any.

i agree with pvman a good proven combi or slightly cheaper option 28i jnr[less components to go wrong] offers similar perforemance.do not know if the open kit is suitable for the jnr

Thanks PEDANTICVINDICTIVEMAN/ bripl i will be going for a worcester but could you tell me if you have time what the difference is between the different models as they do a junior, combi i, an si2 and the cdi and what is a open vent kit.

thanks for the info

Andy

The optional open vent kit means that you can keep existing open vent heating systems on the same pressure as it is now, re-using the existing header feed/expansion cistern in the loft, this cuts out the risk of burst radiators and continually having to top up the system from minor weeps , the open vent kit is only available for the 24/28Cdi wall mounted models as far as I am aware, I think that it may be an option on some of the Highflow floor standing models but not sure.
The 24/28i and Si models are cheaper so as to compete with the cheap shiitte pumped out by such as Halstead and Ravenheat and uses cheaper parts.
