which door lining

morning all.
currently putting up a stud wall and i now need to buy and fit the door lining.which do i need?

the partition is 100w and will have 12.5mil plaster board either side.

If your studs are 100 x 50 then with a single layer of 12.5mm plasterboard plus 2 -3mm plaster skim on each side then the total thickness of your wall will be 130mm so the door lining will need to be, yes that’s correct a minimum of 130mm

But if your wall as an overall thickness of 100mm i.e. made up of 75mm studs again with a single layer of 12.5mm plasterboard plus 2 -3mm plaster skim on each side. Then you are looking for a door lining of a minimum of 106mm.

ignore my post, i have specced for a 75mm stud partition, sorry. :oops:

as above.

5,1/4 or 131mm. doh :rolleyes:
