I'm looking for a drill to do some DIY work around the house and to have handy when needed

I have been recommended to get a Makita drill and I'm not sure between these two

Makita DHP453

Makita HP457

I'm not an expert with drills so I'm not sure what the differences are, any help will be appreciated
Or if you have any recommendations that around the same price with the drill bits and screws included I will take it onboard

Either will do. Just look after the batteries. At work, we use these drills all the time and so the batteries are constantly being used and recharged, which is good for them.

At home, you will use the drill infrequently, and if you don't charge the batteries in the meantime, they will die and you will then find that replacement batteries are either unavailable or if available, more than the cost of buying a new drill.

For infrequent use it's best to get a mains-powered drill.

one has 2x 1.3ah [=2.6ah]
and one has one 3ah
assuming you may be tempted with further tools i would go for the 3ah as 1.3ah is below even basic run time off a say saw 'strimmer or other tool you may buy
if you have no intentions off buying more tools and will be doing little but often with a socket within 10 mins then 1.3ah will be fine but sometimes frustrating if you are busy

drill bits are not expensive so that should not be a deciding factor.
Most of them you will never use.
A dozen HSS and 4 masonry will be enough for 99% of jobs.
For example

When you realise which one or two you use the most, you can buy a few spares in your favourite size (not another set)
If you are clumsy like me you will break anything smaller than 4mm.

A second battery in the kit would be a lot more use.

The HP uses what they call a "G"-series battery. OK if all you want is a basic drill, or a basic impact driver, or a jigsaw but otherwise a very limited range of compatible tools. The DHP453 is part of the Makita trade range and the BL battery system it uses extends from 1.3Ah to 6Ah and there are something like 200 tools compatible with that battery system
