I recently helped my dad fit a new bathroom. We intended to keep the lino but it wasn't possible. Long story short - the floor was soaked through causing mould growth on the lino underside, the floor was so wet it would take weeks to dry out, it's the only toilet in the house, new bathroom suite had been delivered & sitting outside, old suite virtually out so had to fit the new one without worrying about laying new flooring. Not ideal, should have checked this out before starting to fit etc etc, but live and learn.

So, what is the best / easiest floor to fit now? We cannot face removing or even lifting the new suite which I know would be the professional way of doing it so we'll have to carefully cut around and seal well around the basin & toilet.

My instincts say that a laminate suitable for a bathroom would look the best when fitting around the pedestals providing it was cut carefully. Or is lino going to be an easier option? Dad doesn't mind what it is but now after a month the floor is dry, he just wants something put down.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Go for a good grade of cushion floor, and make sure it is acclimatised(left in room for 24 hours before fitting) If necessary use silicone round fittings.
