I'm looking for a decent/reliable lawn mower to replace our 10+ year old Flymo and have narrowed it down to these,
    • Flymo Speedi-Mo 360C 1500W - £90
    • Flymo Chevron 32VC 1200W - £75
    • Bosch Rotak 32R 1200W - £85
    • Bosch Rotak 34 R 1300W - £100
    • Bosch Rotak 36 R 1400W - £105
But some people have mentioned that Bosch quality is very poor now as they are now made in China and not UK.

Which lawn mower out of the above would you recommend?

I suspect they are all Chinese made.

Best place for reviews for lawnmowers is Anazon ir Argos.

I bought a cordless from Argos, it was a Sovereign but looks identical to this. Ive had it 3 years, for the money its brilliant.

Once youve had a cordless, you wont go back to a mains corded jobbie -the convenience is just fantastic. In tge summer I try and do 2 cuts a week, I just get the mower out in the eve after work and have a quick zoom around. Ive 3 small lawns that add up to maybe 100sq m -it does it easily on one charge.

I’ve got the cheaper Bosch one, it’s good, collects all the grass, doesn’t mind going over stones. There’s 4 or 5 height settings. Can’t fault it really other than it could have a longer wire.

    My lawns about 100mtrs.

I have a Hyundai petrol driven mower. Self propelling, 6 cutting heights, and can mulch or side blow as well as collect. Wife thinks it brilliant because being disabled she can use it on self propel. It has 4 speeds and is battery operated push start. Large main lawn at the back of about 160 sqmt, an additional side one of about60 sqmt and a frontage of roughly 40sqmt.
Cost of mower was around £350 from amazon.

I always found that a hover mower gave a better finish to my lawn, as it followed the undulations better than my current (wheeled) rotary mower does.

I have a Bosch and am really happy with it. It's the slightly more expensive Rotak 400, but seems well built and sturdy.

Problem we have with a hover, indeed any electric mower, is the fact my wife is disabled and can't push one added to the fact we need one with a very long cable or use extension leads. Fine if you have the upper body strength to 'flick' the cable out the way but as she has a cage in her upper neck this prevents her from using her arms much above mid chest level. Flicking long cables is out of the question for her and battery operated ones don't seem to last long enough to finish the job in one go.
