Which pipe for cistern?

My new cistern outlet for the flush pipe measures 48 mm as far as I can measure (the diameter of the rubber cone washer)

What pipe should I be getting to make a flush pipe to my WC (which seems to require 40mm)?



The cistern, from Victoria Plum, didn't come with a flush pipe. I've tried 50mm pipe but its too large.

Thanks. I have some 50mm pipe but that is the outside dimension so didn't fit.

Which cistern is it and have you been back to Viccy Plum? That company can be a real mare sometimes .
