I ordered a plunger today with a flange on to unblock our toilet but i cant get a seal with it as there are gaps at the front and back, am I doing something wrong or do i need a different shape/type?
You have water in the toilet? If not put some hot water in to cover plunger. Plungers work better with hot water as the rubber goes soft.
Not boiled water. Bath temperature water..
You don't need a perfect seal as the water movement shifts the mass.
I've also used a hosepipe to rod a bit further along for when people flush a toilet roll
Quickly and easily remove blockages from toilets with this plunger that is designed to fit in U-bends. Powerful and ingenious bellows fill with water for maximum pressure moving up to 1 1/2 litres of water per plunge.
