Can anyone help with a solution to a partially blocked toilet?

This has never happened before and has only just started.

Basically the toilet flushes fine, and maybe the fresh water after a flush takes a little longer to settle at the correct height. But after a few hours left alone, brown water seems to seep in from the back pipe? (we obviously know what this is!), but no smell.

So we don't know if this is a partial paper blockage, or a 'solids' blockage?

I did put down a tub of toilet/drain unblocker for a few hours, which may have done something?

So do you recommend what could shift this, as in a good toilet unblocker? We don't have a special toilet shaped plunger to do this, so think a good solution to pour down the toilet maybe the best answer?

Check the nearest external inspection chamber - don't put any 'unblocking products' down the pan.

I've used a mop head with a carrier bag over the top as a perfectly good plunger in the past. Works a treat.

buckaroo, good evening.

Does the family use "so called" Flushable Wipes" --- they are NOT---they block up Sewers???

You may wish to consider making an Insurance Claim??
