Hi all

Having an extension built and I am planning to make use of the two remaining outputs on my sky quad LNB. Using two already for sky plus but want to run two new cables to the extension so that I can hook-up freesat HD in the new bedrooms.

My question is what cable do people recommend ?? I have looked on the web but I cannot seem to find out which grade of cable is best value but also good enough for freesat HD.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The general recommendation for satellite cable is CT100 or WC100. the only problem is that many difference cables are sold under these references, ranging from very good to very poor. The newer designation for this is H109. If your run is fairly short, CT100 or equivalent from a known manufacturer will do fine. If it's a long run, look at WF100 or WF125. They can be a real pain to work with as they are so thick.

Bit late as always, but the best cable I've ever purchased for sat installs (and Freeview) was Webro WC100 or WF100 as said by the last chap (you can use airspaced dielectric, but if it's going outdoors water can be a problem).

I always buy it from here:

http://www.satcure.com/accs/page8.htm#H109 service is great and the cable makes the cr*p you buy from the likes of B&Q and other local retailers looks like bell wire.

Make sure you pick the plugs and plates up too!
