Just asking your opinion, my soldering torch has broken and ive been directed to rothenberger yellow bottle aswell as RB black bottle. someone else has said the red one is better as it heats up quicker?

i need to know which is best as the torches are normally suitable to the type of gas used.

Yellow = Mapp gas, is hotter than black = propane.
Torches work with either.
Propane is hot enough for all soldering.

Go for propane, easier to control for enthusiasts. I prefer MAPP, gets hotter quicker and cheaper in the long run as you only need to use a small amount of gas.

Thanks for the info guys, i think i will use the black to start off with as im not a pro as yet.

i have been reading about the superfire 2 torch, is this the best one or do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Widely regarded as one of the best out there, you will find a lot of plumbers opting for this choice. I have the Bernzomatic TS7000, in essence the exact same torch but cheaper...
