I am in the process of purchasing laminate flooring for my living/dining area and laminate tile for kitchen and hall. I live in mobile home which is open to the hallway. I am wondering which underlay would be best. The sales person suggested the more expensive underlay with the felt liner to make it quieter. I was told by a friend that it doesn't matter that the less expensive is just as quiet. Can you tell me which is better? Thanks

Which underlay is best for laminate flooring?

There is a huge difference between cheap and good underlay in the way of sound / moister protection etc. I would stick with what your supplier has recommended.
