Had this dishwasher for many years without any problems at all, but today it stopped during the 'INTENSIVE' cycle with the 'WASH' & 'DRY' lights both flashing.

Seems to have completed the wash cycle OK but not the DRY as everything was still wet. Tried holding in the start button for 10 seconds which then ends the program, but it doesn't want to start again, have even switched off at the plug for 5 minutes and then back on, but no joy:(

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Vambo

Wow that was quick :)

The 'WASH' light is number 2 & the 'DRY' light is number 3, both were flashing simultaneously.

I should have asked on previous post. Is the 5th light on steady?
If it is then it's a fault code for "not pumping out".
Blockage somewhere, possibly in the pump.

Now you've got me really confused, there are 5 lights as follows : -

1 - Pre-Rinse 2 - Wash 3 - Dry 4 - End and underneath these there is the Salt warning light, but none of them are on steady, the only lights on are 2 & 3 both flashing.

OK. I'll have to look up the data for your machine. It's not one of the models I recognise. I'll see what I can find and post back, probably tomorrow. :)

Thx a lot, just checked and the model no should be ADP2962 WH not as I posted originally AD2962 WH, sorry for any confusion caused

Hi, Sorry, I forgot all about this one.
Lights 2 and 3 are error code 8 which is a water level failure. Either leaked or syphoned out?
As you are aware pressing and holding the start button should reset the machine.
If your machine won't reset or is dead I'm afraid you'll need some pro help as there are so many things can cause this.

Hi,

Thx for that, I have been nursing it along on the normal cycle for some weeks now, but that is now giving me the same problems and as the powder/rinse aid dispenser is slowly disintegrating I think it's God's way of telling me to stop being such a tightwad and buy the wife a new machine
