PUT WASHER ON A PROGRAM IT MOVES ONE CLICK THEN STOPS,OCCATIONALY WILL MAKE A DRAINING NOISE THEN NOTHING, ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKS DAMIAN

Why are you shouting? We're not deaf.
Anyways, check the carbon brushes in your motor. If they're worn down you need to replace them.

Have checked brushes,these are encased in metal with a plastic shrowd,when fitted back on machine carbon is pushed back about 4 mm, do the brushes just need to toch the armature,or do they need to be quite long so the spring can apply pressure thanks Damian

They need to be held in firm contact with the armature, If in doubt replace them. Its worth doing while you have the motor out...

I wonder if the O/P has still got piles of Laundry in his Kitchen?
Or did he fix it?

no piles of washing next door neigh bour has done it,can not find spare parts localy, will post when i have replaced bushes

could not find replacement bushes,on closer inspection found a loose wire on the door lock switch,when refitted machine works fine.Thanks for help Damian
