Hi folks,i am i the process of installing a jacuzzi bathtub into my new bathroom. The tub has been wired to the manufacturers instructions, but there is also a equipotential bonding line linked to the steel frame.

The instructions read as follows:

"Please note the yellow and green wire from the equipotential terminal of the steel frame is the equipotential bonding line, the user has to connect it with the equipotential terminal of the power supply wire (protective earth terminal)"

There is no other electrical items in the near vicinity to connect too so would it be ok to connect the wire to some copper pipework in the bathroom which are already bonded using 10mm earthing cable and straps?

Any advice would be much appreciated,Thanks Chris

Yes Chris, it's quite in order to connect that earthwire to the existing supplementary bonding within that zone.
