Hello! I have a question, I had my heating on earlier today (around 1pm for an hour) and no noise, I ran a bath at around 7pm, and (turning taps on and off to make sure) had this loud whistling sound coming from the boiler when the taps were on. From what I can see, on the front cover, I have a "Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus." Could anyone tell me what this could be? Had it fitted new Jan 2014.

Its the filter housing. Needs cleaning/replacing.

Same as a duo tec ... Sounds like a firework going on take off , as above ,,,, inlet filter, easy fix ,,,,, BUT if you can't get it out due to restricted space , I would get an engineer as the gas valve may need to come out to get to it ,,,, also I notice the boiler was manufactured in 2013 , is the 2 year warentee up or just in ?

Just noticed u had it fitted in Jan 2014 , ring up Baxi 08448711545 .... Opinion 1 then option 1 again , give them serial number and date of install

Then tell us what they find when they come out within 24 hours (?).

Tony
