Morning all

Don't worry I haven't accidently hit on the wrong site ...

I'm hoping for a bit of advice on the best adhesive product to fix a ceramic basin to a timber veneered cabinet. Any advice?

If no-one gets back to me today I'm going to nail the git in place!!

Many Thanks - have a GREAT day all

Normally a basin should be supported by a pedistal and held on to the vertical surface behind it, not to support it but only to secure it.

The correct fittings are "Fischer bolts". They screw into wood or wall plugs and leave an exposed machine thread of 6 mm on which you fit a soft washer, a metal washer and a nut. They are rarely used even by those who call themselves professional bathroom installers.

Thanks Tony

Unfortunately this is one of them there fancy sinks that sits in the centre of the pedestal and doesn't connect back to the wall...

Use sanitary silicone.
Clean everything first with meths or similar
Use a bespoke tool to apply if you aren't good at it. Othewise the corner of a credit card is pretty good.
Support it if necessary while it cures.

Other things, like Nail and Seal, are even stronger, but mould grows on many of them.
