Who doesn't like a coup?

Wait, I have the answer!

Lib Dems tell us they have ways to save billions.
Tories tell us they have ways to save billions.
Reform tell us they have ways to save tens of billions.

In the country's interest, let's get Labour out today and the above three in. Sorted. After all, based on what they're saying, it's easy peasy to save billions upon billions, so collectively they should be able to work near miracles!!!
I like it :giggle:

when parties cant make the sums add up they use A) growth B) cost savings to massage the figures

this country seems stuck in a stagnant growth death loop

not that high growth necessarily makes the lower paid feel better, but it does bring in loads more tax revenue

What was inflation when the tories left?
What was growth when the tories left?
What was the unemployment rate when the tories left?
What were the illegal boat numbers when the tories left?
What was the deficit when the tories left?
What were taxes when the tories left?
What were the accidental prisoner releases?

I could go on.
What we're the immigration figures under the Tories.

A little reminder.

The highest ever recorded UK annual net migration figure under a Conservative government, and the highest on record overall, was 906,000 in the year ending June 2023.

Yeah, what have the Tories ever done for us?
Apart from economic growth, low unemployment, stability during covid, early vaccinations saving 1000s... and probably roads and aqueducts.
even Motorbikings Tory propaganda newspaper knows the truth

The Tories are leaving Labour an impossible task

High taxes and high debt are the legacy of the Conservative Party’s 14 years of rule

12 March 2024.. perhaps it was intended to show that Labours claims were boll@x.

Certainly seems that way:
- focus on economic growth (n)
- reduce debt (n)
- no tax raises for working people (n)
etc

Back on-topic, Labour would be mad to oust Starmer right now.

They need him to stay on to take the blame for the kick in the face they'll get from the public in next May's elections. They can't stop this happening, but they can blame Starmer and swap him for a new puppet, who they'll be able to pretend is going to save them, perhaps for a year or so.

My dream outcome would be for Starmer to threaten the rebels with a general election, knowing that most would end up unemployed. They don't believe he'd do it so don't back down, then he burns the house down by going to the polls. Please let this happen!

stability during covid
oh you mean in Feb when Boris decided to go for the "lets ignore it and keep everything open"

or do you mean when Boris missed COBRA meetings cos he was writing a book or farting or sumfink

or do you mean the "wrap an arm around care homes"

or do you mean not ramping up testing because they wanted to build privately owned testing labs and not use existing NHS labs -so their mates coul dmake a pile of money like Randox (which gave Owne Paterson £500,000)

or do mean the opportunistic corruption allowing them to dish out £bs to their mates in bogus contracts

you seem to think you can turn the following into a positive for the Tories:

High taxes and high debt are the legacy of the Conservative Party’s 14 years of rule

Do you see Labour setting out plans to reduce spending? I must have missed that.

Did you vote for Boris Johnson in 2019?

The government that put £80b of tax rises in place
The government that made net migration a million a year
The government that burnt through 3 prime ministers in 5 years, one of them outlasted by a lettuce

Do you see Labour setting out plans to reduce spending? I must have missed that.
You keep talking about cutting spending.

What spending cuts have you come up with?

Let’s have a think what the Tories left:
1) NHS strikes unresolved
2) Jeremy Hunt unfunded NI cut
3) prisons in state of collapse
4) NHS with 8 million waiting list
5) schools literally collapsing
6) 100% debt to gdp ratio
7) massively increased cost of borrowing
8) massive asylum seeker backlog

Which of these did you want ignored?

So come on let’s see YOUR amazing “spending cuts”

By the way Mel Strife came up with one….end triple lock.

The Tories are leaving Labour an impossible task
You’d have thought labour might have mentioned that in the lead up to the election, wouldn’t you? Something like "Vote for us but we'll be able to do feck all for you because it will be impossible".

Forget the Tories, they've been and gone. It’s Labour now. What did they tell you they'd do that made you vote for them?
