There is a 20ish story new build under construction near where I am current living.

I noticed that someone decided to pull backwards one of the thinner concrete supports.

Why would that happen?

Just wondering...

I guess there's not a lot of weight yet so they can get away with it. They may have props inside?

Did we learn nothing from the 1960s tower blocks?

A new generation comes along, thinks they've had a great idea nobody else has though of, let's bolt together a load of panels and tell people to live in them.

Cheers for the reply.

AFAIK, all of the props get moved up as they construct each floor. Admittedly, my photo wasn't brilliant, nevertheless, I do not understand why they would have ripped out one. The 7 floors above still have the concrete pillars in place.

I am still confused as to why they would remove that particular one.

maybe a crane or some load smashed into it and the bottom side had no rebar fixing to the floor... and quickfix they put the guardfence back and paper to cover.. boh, just guessing.
