Expel water with a big ‘phutttt’ when you first open them – by which I mean a quick explosive burst of water, then a split second gap followed by regular flow. I’ve noticed this in a couple of houses – one was on the hot water, the taps didn’t used to do it until after some repairs were made to the combi boiler. I presume it’s a build up of pressure somewhere?
