No idea, but as it wasn’t in the Labour manifesto , I think he needs to go to the country to get a mandate

Seems pointless, this might be his idea of the big political shift he was harping on about. Just can't be arsed to travel to London probably.
I guess that since every politician since Walpole has been steering every important UK decision to be made in the Sarf East, AB thought it would make a nice change to give the Norf a chance.
Some of us could not care less.
All that extra security needed is a waste of tax payers money.
Let us know when it surpasses £210 million and multiplied by a factor of 10. I might bat an eye.

Thank my aunts uncle.
He’s got London in the bag (Labor vote) so is concentrating on the North where re form is a bigger threat. Plus the Manchester mayoral election is imminent so he’s creating the right mood music. He’s a very smart cookie and could well save Labor from Farrage. Nige’s own goal resignation helps.
