Hi all,
I've recently inherited a snazzy little laptop and want to use it in my shed/office/guitar studio but the laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. I currently use an older laptop connected to a TP-LINK homeplug - this arrangement works, even though the shed TP-LINK plug and the one near the router are on different circuits.

I have heard there are Wifi enabled homeplugs on the market, so am wondering if one of those would suit.
Like I've said, the Router is on a ring main and the shed is fed from a seperate trip with a dedicated 4mm cable. Distance from the shed to the router is about 25 Metres.

Thanks for reading,
Chris.

Yeah, I tend to use wifi enabled tplink with pass through plug. Work well
Alternatively buy a usb ethernet jack

+1 to just getting a USB ethernet jack. You can find those for £5-10 easily nowadays.
