Hi

I have a Vaillant ecotec 837 combo boiler and the front panel often displays 0.85 bar. It is installed on the upstairs if a 3 bed detached house.

I have just bought a shower for the ground floor bathroom which has a minimum recommended pressure of 1 bar.

Do you think my shower will work ok?

The pressure gauge on the boiler refers to the central heating loop not the hot water.

The instructions that came with the shower should specify if it's suitable for use with a combi boiler

Thanks, it says "suitable for high pressure systems such as a combi" so hopefully should be ok.

As to why I bought it without knowing, it must be remembered all the parameters can be quite bewildering for an amateur.
