I hope they do get prosecuted and given stiff sentences, not least because having that seen to be done, quells the nations ire a bit. Those rioters early in Starmer's administration felt a heavy hand, even the snotty little kids chucking stones. That was when we thought Starmer might be OK.

There used to be the practice of trying one trumped up reason for being let in after another which was, I thought, squashed. This is only a slightly different nuance.

It's also ridiculous imho to have gayness as a reason for admittance. They didn't have to tell anyone, wherever they came from. That's what hundreds of millions of gay folk have to do.

Thats right. If you say in a country that forbids gayness, then dont tell anyone but your lover.

It is essential to tell your lover. Dont just stick one on them.

I think the lefty viewpoint is that those who were persecuted in their own country are now seeing straight bullies jump on the “I’m gay” bandwagon.

A bit like a Nazi slipping on some striped pyjamas as the Allies close in.
