Will wallpaper paste go off overnight?

I'm about to make my first attempt at wallpapering, obviously I'm
going to be pretty slow and won't finish in one day, will the mixed paste
be OK if left overnight? Thanks.

It will last, I cover mine with clingfilm, leave it in a cool place.
