Personally I would rather have a professional will via solicitor, some of them are charging a reasonable fee around £50. Unless your will is very straight forward.
We keep saying we'll write a will, but never seem to get around to it. When we do, it should be a simple one:
If I die first, she gets it all; if she dies first, I get it all; if we both die together, shared equally between four siblings.
I reckon a good solicitor will charge us about a tenner!
yep, good advice because you can then go getting a few quotes from solicitors putting you in control otherwise they could charge what they like!Yep, if you still have half a brain (so excluding several on 'ere) you don't want to be putting a solicitor in as executor.
The problem is, it's not always black and white, so making a will will make sure the money/estate is giving out correctly. It's known sometimes the money can go to ex-wife or ex-husband if it's not worded correctly...
One of the first questions the solicitors ask -is - 'how would you like your body to be disposed of'.![]()
They would not accept 'IN A SKIP' for a answer.![]()
Does anyone here have a particular preference --and WHY ?.
I'd tell them to sell my body for medical research (they'd have a field day) and insist they get enough money to cover the cost of my funeral!

One of my great aunt's left her body to medical science. Her relatives assumed there would be no funeral. How wrong they were, when a few years later the medical institute she'd left her body to, wrote to the relatives saying they were returning body parts for disposal. Cost them just as much as an ordinary funeral, to dispose of "body parts"

Be like me -- on doner register for ages --they can have anything they want .
Surprising how many people are not though .
My 'Mrs' says- she wont let them have my eyes though.
But- eyes are the most used donation these days --so why waste all 3 of them ?.
I'm all for recycling .
Not too keen on leaving the rest of me for medical research though ----even though I heard Sooey has left his body for such a thing .
First thing the mortician would do is- open him up and see if there is any trace of WORK in him.![]()

Does that mean you're leaving your brain to medical science?
I can see it now, one brain, seldom used!
