I have a fall off in l/min flow of water in my UFH circuits which, I think, is a 18 Yr old Grundfos Alpha pump issue (circuits balance valves opening correctly, one zone (lounge) requires 2.4 l/min in two loops but cannot achieve more than 1.2 l/min on both circuits, no obvious air issue)
I am thinking of changing to a "Wilo-Yonus Pico pump, same duty( apparently they are self venting) but two question- are the wilo pumps good value, reliability etc. and the existing grundfos pump is installed pipes in the horizontal position, can the wilo be installed horizontally? all the literature shows the pumps installed vertically.
Thanks

Come on lads & lasses in the know re; wilo pump
a is it good value?
b OK in the horizontal plane?
(are there any lady heating engineers on this forum?)

Yes the Wilo Yonos Pico is a reliable pump...my installs haven't died yet.
And yes you can fit it to horizontal pipework...rotate the pump head around so the cable hangs vertically.

Thanks gas guru
How does it vent in the horizontal position?
Just curious
