Hi all,

We had our window cleaner clean our gutters yesterday. I was expecting all the rubbish inside to be removed, and a wipe over on the outside. What he actually did was clean inside, and then using a sprayer, covered the gutters with some 'pool chemicals' that he doesn't know the name of. It stank the whole house out for hours.

This got all over the almost new decking (fitted in September by me), and has left marks (see below).

I have power washed a couple of sample sections, and the marks have faded a lot but are still visible.

What solutions are there? Just jet it all down and it will fade? Or apply chemicals all over (I don't really want to do that), or something else?

Thanks
Tim

Sack your "window cleaner" he's using Chlorine on your gutters - ready to drip in your eyes !!!!!!! A proper cleaner with a soft/heated water machine in a van will just turn up the water temp. and using a different brush, simply clean the gutters, as ours does . Yours is a dangerous fool .
