Got some alu windows to fit, they came with sills fitted (screwed on from the bottom). This fixing has altered the drainage route within the window. So instead of any water running out of the weep holes in the underside of the sill, any water getting through the gasket now goes through first set of weep holes and then instead of going into another set of weep holes it goes through the screw holes first and comes out of the side of a channel in the very bottom/back of the sill.

Even if I silicone the ends of this channel, the water cannot drain through the correct drainage holes, so will be just stuck there.

Should the sill have just been siliconed on? and also, on longer windows, they require a fixing along the bottom, again, doing this will create a hole for water to get through.

timber frame house so need to get this right.
