My upvc window handle has snapped off and it looks like its made of cast iron. Can anyone tell me how to get this off to replace it. I'm unsure if its an allen key or hex screw or something else inside the two fixings. Thanks

its riveted on, usually a 5mm drill bit will do the job, you'll then need a replacement handle and rivets and a rivet gun.

Thanks for that, you couldn't tell me what type of handle I would need to replace the broken one.
Will post a pic later, cheers

Managed to get some online.

Is it large flange pop rivet I should be using?
Is there a standard size rivet dia and length?
Cheers guys

Thats me all done.
Got 5mm dia rivets 12mm long. Got one side riveted then had to screw the other side as my rivet gun was too wide to fit into the type of handles I had got. Got some nice new wedges too. Job done anyway and window cleaned!
Thanks for the help
Cheers
