Help, My window handle is jammed in the lock position

Hi,

I was hoping to change my handle on my window but i accidently snapped the key in the lock position when my window was open so it now wont lock shut so i have to pull it to, also one of the screws at the top is rounded of so i cant take it off, so has anyone got any suggestions on how to remove the handle from the window?

i was thinking about just ripping the handle up as i am replacing the handle but I am not sure if this will do damage to the window itself.

Lidl had £5 screw removal kit last time I was in there, will allow you to replace handle.

if i pull it will it cause damage to the lock in the window?
