Hi

I have some dot and dabbing to do in a couple of rooms. I have almost finished one room and I am not sure what to do about the window reveal. I have left the boards on the walls overlapping the window enough to create the reveals behind them and then cut the board back afterwards but I don’t know the method of dabbing above the window without it falling off under the weight of the board.

(Different window)
Also can you dab plasterboard to old plaster. It’s only a small window reveal about 400mm.
Thanks in advance
Ian

you can d/d onto old plaster as long as its sound!

dab the top reveals 1st then do the sides which will help to hold it in place.

the suction created by the dabs would normally hold the gyproc in place anyway.

Thanks for your reply I will try it this weekend.
On old brick work where the plaster has been knocked off but there is paint and small amounts of plaster left on the bricks is there any need to prepare it in any way or can I just dab straight to it?
