Hi, I’ve had new windows put in and there’s a gap where the old windows where removed. I’ve attached a picture.

I have a plasterer round next week to do the bathroom. Do I ask him to fill the gaps with plaster or should I do it myself with some filler?

Many thanks

It won't cost you money to consult the plasterer. With such a large gap, filling it might not have sufficient structural strength. Replacing the boards might work better.

They could have given you the option to opt for pvc trims, although with such a large gap they would not look good.

Easier to get the plasterer to deal with it.

As mentioned, the window people generally deal with this problem by fitting uPVC trim.
