Hi all

We're having the exterior of our house repainted shortly. It's in desperate need of painting as we've had cavity wall insulation installed and so there's holes all over the house.

One issue is that next year we're likely to be replacing the three bay windows at the front of the house. The work would involve replacing the entire units including the timber frames that separate the window panels. We really can't afford to do this before the painting starts.

If damage occurs to the outside of the house when the windows are replaced, how easy is it to cover it up? Can the paint be blended in easily? Are there strips that can go round the exterior of the windows to cover up any damage?

I'm just worried that we'll spend all this money to paint the exterior for it to just get damaged and have to be patched up next year.
