I reckon youve got egress hinges and the top hinge is engaged in its normal place and the other is unclipped moving over

you should be able to unclip the top hinge and slide the window over.

the reason for the 2 positions is it allows the window to slide over so you can reach through for cleaning.

They don’t seem to be clicking back into place

Theres not enough room for me to reset it at the top.
